Ugh

"Doubleday, the company that sold [Dan] Brown's book [The DaVinci Code] about Jesus fathering children — which the Vatican branded as blasphemous — is also handling the American market for Benedict's book about the life of Christ."

I couldn't find a list quickly, but Doubleday is one of the largest American book publishers. Like I've said in comments on this blog in the past, if you want to not support any business that does anything you disagree with, you will have to go Amish and be self-supporting. I would hazard a guess that no American publisher found in any major store doesn't have at least 1 title you find objectionable - sexual, blasphemous, etc.

That's not the point, Caleb. Suppose your father had seven people he could do business with. Suppose all of them were unsavory characters who insulted people and their families, but one personally insulted your family and did extensive damage to it. Yet your father opted to do business with the one who insulted and damaged your family, even though he could very well have done business with any of the other six. Doesn't that strike you as strange?

This is not "boycott businesses that are bad". This is why do business with someone who personally insulted, trashed, violated, slandered, and dishonored your church?
