Blessed G. K. Chesterton?

There is talk of beatifying the English apologist and convert. An organization dedicated to promoting his works, the Chesterton Society, is the chief engine behind the cause. He hasn't yet appeared in the Hagiography Circle though.

This, I would contend, would be a good thing as we need more "ordinary" people to be beatified and canonized. It's easier for people to identify with those in their own state of life than with cloistered nuns and bishops and such.

I agree wholeheartedly. Sainthood should be considered demotic and Chesterson would be a good example of this. Notwithstanding the Gospel caveat that the road to heaven is long and narrow and those that walk it are few, sainthood is attainable. The Devil wants us to think sainthood is harder to achieve than it really is. It is a path that is available and easily successfual to all those who TRULY choose it. God the Father calls us all to that path.
